Chili with or without beans for me!!!!! Small pieces of browned seasoned beef, elk, venison, dove , duck, work great also. Ribs with fall off the bone tenderness and bite is the trick to great ribs. It doesn't happen every time but if you can do it 90% of the time you have great ribs 90% of the time.

Just for the record, I know how to cook good ribs and they will never be in your contest. And if I want them falling off the bone so my 81 yo mother can chew them easily, they will be. If I'm making them for myself, they will have some bite to them.

My late grandfather made his in an old school pressure cooker. Used sauce as the liquid. He said he was too old to spend that much time cooking and eating his food LOL
There weren’t my first choice for style (I prefer dry rub and no glaze) but they were always pretty good for what they were. And I sure wasn’t gonna correct him.
