In 2016 I had a major vehicle accident that messed me up pretty bad. During the treatment I received in the aftermath I was diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer's or CTE they said more likely CTE due to the multiple head trauma I have suffered in my life ,but the only way to prove CTE definitively is to cut your brain up and look at it which they can't do while your alive.
Since then I have had mostly good days with a few glitches here and there. Now it seems the glitches are coming more often, everything from memory loss to extreme episodes. So if you have had an odd or even bad experience with me please forgive me I don't mean to and most of the time don't even realize I'm doing it and unfortunately I can't control it.
The only treatment that they have for me are some cognitive exercises or games that I find silly that are designed to distract the brain I suppose. This situation will only get worse with time until who I was is completely lost. So if I treat you less than you deserve it is not my intention and I apologise. Pray for my wife who deals with my craziness everyday and still loves me she is the best and doesn't deserve the burden of a out of control husband along with all the other things she has to deal with.

I'll pray for your wife Saddlebum but I'm gonna pray for you too. I would hope that if Alzheimer's finds me as it did my grandfather, it comes on and off at first so I can let people know that I'm not always me as you have done here. That's not how it went with my grandfather so his behavior left many of us wishing we had talked more to him about certain things before Alzheimer's hit him so fast. That's just my thoughts.

@saddlebum - you are defined not by what we read from you here, but rather by the life you have lead and the people whom you have touched. Either disease is rough, and yes caregivers pay a heavy toll, but the good days, the good hours, the good minutes and the good thoughts and memories can and will be markers of light for everyone.

If there is anything I can do please let me know. We’ve made a lot of trades back and forth over the years.

My sympathy and respects to all with Alzheimer's. My thoughts go to you.

With that said, for anyone with a disease - your experiences can still be helpful for others.
Have you considered enrolling in a Clinical Trial?

I found 7 clinical trials in Oklahoma testing (drugs) regarding Alzheimer's disease.
Success or Failure of a test is still a small step forward for everyone.

https://clinicaltrials.gov/
-Status: Recruiting and not yet recruiting studies
-Condition: Alzheimer disease
-Country: United States
-State: Oklahoma

My respects to (all) involved in the effects of Alzheimer's.
