Got a few leather goodies in today. Would've posted in the 'Anybody get anything cool...' thread, but one of them isn't gun related.
Ordered a new gun belt last week from Hank's. It came in today.
Second item was a new pair of shoes. This one requires a bit of a back story. I was offered a free pair of shoes from the CEO of the company I work for. I was with our CEO during an industry trade show in Las Vegas last week, and they were going by this store to pick up some shoes they'd ordered. The store was Christian Louboutin. I hadn't heard of this brand before. When I got to the store in the Wynn Resort, I found out that it is some really high end French designer, made in Italy, with just about every pair of shoes costing $1000 or more! Their claim to fame is that all of their shoes have a red sole. Mostly there were women's shoes, but they had a few men's shoes. After seeing what they had in stock of my size, I walked out with these, priced at $1095 before tax! I can say that although I'd never spend that kind of money on a pair of 'designer' shoes, these look fantastic, and moreover, are incredibly well made and comfortable. I'm honestly having a hard time accepting these as a 'Thanks for the great work' gift, but I wasn't the only one who got a pair. I proudly say that I do work for an incredibly kind and generous CEO & company.
