I can't even imagine what it would be like in that hell hole! Glad your family survived and welcome back to firearm freedom! And I bet one of your priorities is de-neutering your AR's and bringing them back to their full potential! Oh, btw, we do have some crazy people in here (watch out for druryj, he's a real nutter) and sometimes it gets deep. Just put on your high wader boots and watch out for the change in wind!

At least I make an honest living. No...wait...no I don't. I'm retired. Now, if you need help with anything to do with the forum, PM me. If you need some over-priced cable TV, get with @Tanis143; If you need a shovel repaired, get with @Cowcatcher.

If you don't need nothin' done ... I'm your man!
My kind of guy right here /\ lol
Well, now you can hear cattle and gunfire.

Ahh..... cuz, 'Murica !

Looks like that deck needs some attention.... get to work....

I drilled the pin out of one of my 10/30 mags today and my boy and I shot the carbine a bit...from our driveway! And no ones gives a hoot that we’re doing it. I wouldn’t trade this for anything. The peace (when not rattled by gunfire lol) out here is nearly pristine.

And the deck...yeah. It’s a solid deck but I think it was done when the house was built a few years ago-so 2-3 years of being unfinished and exposed to the elements has warped/raised it some, but not too badly.

Thread update...we’re here!
Been quiet for a while due to the move but we pulled into our house with a uhaul truck and trailer yesterday afternoon!
Wife and son love it! No more noisy neighbors, no more sounds of traffic and bustle, all we can hear are the cows around our property. We ended up with 5 acres next to a reservoir. Nearest neighbor is about 3/4 mile away.
First thing I did was unpack my guns and dump a mag from my 1911 into my back yard!
The first sunrise in our new home!

Nice view toward the east! To survive in Okieland you have to have a better view toward the NW and SW especially out there. All the satellite TV companies with let you down when storms come a knockin. They will go bye bye on their signal just when you need it. Hope you spend some cash on a fraidyhole and a generator. Best money I've ever spent for peace of mind.

Looked at a generator today-7500 running watt for $699. Propane or gas. Saw it at Costco and made me think I’d be money ahead to get one.
As to the shelter, my wife asked that we get it 2-3 persons larger than we need so we can keep our guns in it, “Have to protect our valuables” she quipped.

Welcome to Oklahoma and OSA! Threads like this make me thankful for being born in OK!

Amen to that! I gained some perspective living in northern Colorado for a bit. Really made me appreciate my OK roots more. It's just a better (more free) way of life - in my humble opinion.

Hello all!
Looking forward to getting the hell out of that overpriced, over-regulated, and overrated cesspool of illegals and degenerates, and to having a traditional family lifestyle here in the great state of Oklahoma.

from your perspective can you elaborate on the illegals? I ask because I moved from the same place (assuming) and people in OK think we do not have an illegal alien problem. I just say its the tip of the ice berg here, and that this nation is in for a big reckoning.
