Not in the road, but I put these out at my curb when the nephews are over. People cruise through my hood too fast.
Wile you're driving by throw a rope on the thing and drag it off. Unless they have a camera....then swerve at the last minute and clip it with your bumper. Take it out! The person that put this out is obnoxious and I sure wouldn't want him or her in my neighborhood, it's like they're looking for a fight. Or, put a Freddie Krueger or Joker figure out next to it...
If people would just slow down in residential neighborhoods there probably wouldn't be any need to draw attention to the problem by placing objects in the streets.
There is an old lady that almost got hit by another car today trying to avoid this thing in the road.She drives a Mercedes S 560 and I am quite sure if she were to have had a wreck because of that sign, the great grandchildren of the people that put this sign in the road would have lost their college funds.
Saw on funniest home videos where a couple kids were on either side of the street acting like they were holding a rope across it.
Everyone slowed waaay down, and one dude stopped and got out of his car to check before driving on through.
