Soon, you will have mosin fever. The pre-war mosins have better fit and finish than the 42-43 years when they look like they were all made on a friday before quitting time.
The Russians would rework some of the rifles, and stamp a second date on them; my dad was born in '34, and graduated in '52, so I've been watching for that (I've gotten close - found a 34/53, and should have bought it).
Bought two from Honeybee in the group buy, and still have them, new in the boxes with all the accessories. If I could do it over, I'd have bought a half dozen.
You're not the only one. I sold my carbines in favor of full-length rifles.

I had a 1946 M44 carbine I sold to an OSA member here years ago. I wish I still had it.
I have an M44 that I may be selling before long (with some other Mosins). I still have that 91/30 ex-sniper that I bought from you several years ago, but never do seem to shoot it.
Anybody here know where I can get just the barrel & action?
What I need is just all the metal parts, cause i have a decent looking wood stock for a 91/30, but no gun to set into the wood.
I might also be interested in selling the stock if someone wants to make me a deal on it,
But I'm really wanting to put one back together.
I also have a couple of M44 stocks too.
I bought all these wood pieces at an auction, so it wasn't me that separated these.

Barreled actions used to be easy to find on GB. I haven’t looked in a while though.
