336 take down sounds amazing to me. this is a great write up, but I lack the skills, patience, and tools to do it. Anyone out there have gunsmithing skills to this level and how much would you estimate a rig like this would cost?

Not a takedown but I bought a trashed out old 30/30 and made it into a "CAR"(Cowboy Assault Rifle).

Shortened, youth synthetic stock, rail on top with a cheap optic.

Kinda what I'm wanting to build with mine. I have a 336Y with a 16 inch barrel and the champion stock I cut the front hand guard down to fit. I want to put the XS rail and ghost ring with a vortex scout on it. I would like a big loop lever and a saddle ring to replace the push button safety, but that's way down the road. The scabbard holds 2 boxes of ammo.
