The only problem with doing that is it would have been a sort of preemptive strike on a man with the obvious intent and ability but was just verbally threatening. No overt act like pointing the gun toward the woman or officer. For those folks saying he should have tried non lethal first, Uhh, he escalated it by having a gun. That is automatically a lethal force situation. Like has been stated, It is a very grainy video and I, Thank God, was not there.The only issue I see, fwiw, from the bodycam video, I think the cop had a good opportunity to shoot/kill the attacker before he got so much closer to the video. But, this ended ok too I suppose.
I wonder how many of the rounds fired actually hit him and where they hit him? It took the acute lead poisoning a few seconds to finally work. I wonder what caliber too?
