He liked the modern jet fighters, and after getting shot down a lot (lol, it was his game after all), I loaded up with a WWI Sopwith Camel.

I'd hug the ground and he was flying so fast he could rarely find me, and when he did, his cannon would pierce the cloth covering of the biplane but wouldn't always kill it. I shot him down several times.

Drove him nuts.

Basically, he can bring the fight to the Zeke from a position where the Zeke can't touch him, so close-in maneuverability doesn't enter into the equation (unlike the Zeke's severe lack of survivability).

Midway isn't in my city yet but I will see it when I can.There was an old man that owned Mr.Neils sandwiches on 41st and Peoria for years.There were pictures of him in his plane in WW2.He told me he shot down 47 Jap and German planes.He said the last time he was in a dog fight his plane was hit pretty bad and he sent back to the states a few days later.The old guy was really interesting to talk to.
