BTW: If anyone wonders about the finish match between my 80% lower and the Combat Arms upper, that's on me for not getting the proper anodizing done after I finished my lower.

I broke down and ordered the upper, BCG and charging handle. All looks good other than the BCG will not go into battery. I tested the BCG in other uppers and same issue. Put other BCG’s in the Combat Armory upper and all functioned perfectly.
Reached out to Mike at Combat Armory via email at 2:11pm this afternoon and he replied at 2:21pm stating they would send out a new BCG today.
I also took a pic of the marking on the barrel for those that were curios.
Will keep you informed when I receive the replacement BCG.

That's very strange. Admittedly I haven't tested all of mine. Could you tell what part of the BCG was rubbing or causing the problem? Any marks when trying it repeatedly like scratches or rub on the finish?
