He has been talked about on several sites, forums and YouTube. There has always been opposition to his antics. His fans put him on a pedestal and support his cause like he’s a great crusader.

He pushed it too far and now the opposition to any kind of carry has more fuel for their cause.

The cop in the video talked about public buildings.I am not sure if he means government buildings like libraries and tag offices or any building. My bank is ok with it
Public buildings are gov't-owned (or, I think, gov't-leased) buildings. Privately-owned buildings that are open to the public (like banks and other businesses) are still private.

Harper's actions proved one thing for sure, that he's never read the state laws on carrying a weapon and I'm being real nice. Maybe he can't read and has nothing better to do than sit in jail?

I'm still concerned about the 'apparent' ambiguity about carrying in a place where alcohol is consumed vs primary purpose is alcohol consumption... didn't the new law include the wording about consumption? If he got arrested for carrying in a place like Chili's where they SERVE it, but he wasn't consuming himself or in a bar specifically, I'd be real concerned. Even though I think the guy is a tool of the highest order...

So far they haven't released where he was at when arrested. The story was a bit ambiguous about that. And yes, I checked, the law still allows us to go into restaurants that serve alcohol as long as its not their primary business, you just can not be in the bar area if they have one and you can not consume alcohol.
