and for the builder in you....picture guide of how to assemble your lower.

Thanks! Very handy. I am also working up to my first build (lower only). Have found a basic stripped lower on psa for $40. But not sure if I should spend more. What is the difference? Wanting to build for steel challenge and 3-gun, shooting a 22 LR conversion in former. Suggestions for trigger, guard, 45 d selector, tube/butt stock, grip? Can't find a parts kit I like. Bout a $300 limit.

was thinking aero offered this from the factory.

wouldn't mind doing this on my next build (whenever that may be)

Aero's M4E1 uppers and lowers offer a threaded bolt catch pin and forward assist respectively.

I've moved to tapping both on any other set I might use. Definitely makes things easier IMO.

ALG ACT trigger if you want a good milspec. LaRue or Geissele if you want a very good non-cartridge trigger.

TriggerTech, Hiperfire, PoF, Timney, Rise Armament, CMC if you want drop ins.

Any good milspec LPK is fine. Same with selectors. I run Talon ambi selectors in all my builds currently.

You could go A5 buffer if you want to split between standard carbine and rifle length.
Get an H2 or standard weight buffer and spring. Spend the money on an adjustable gas block if you are building an upper ever.

CDNN sports often has sales for various parts . . . might be worth checking them out to see what they have available.

Welcome Michael618. Good info here. The Larue triggers are nice and for $80, if you shop around, are a good deal

I use and like this trigger in an AR Platform.

Thumbs up for the Aero Precision Uppers and Lowers. Use them and Recommend them. Quality product and very good price.

I use a #43 drill bit , 4-40 Tap and set screw where my gas tube is retained in the gas block instead of the cheesy roll pin. Works great with some blue Loctite.
