I don't necessarily have a distaste for crab but I personally wouldn't give you $5.00 for a whole boxcar load (I feel the same about lobster) but the wife really likes steamed crab.......sitting there picking the tiny little morsels of meat out of the skinny legs just seems like more trouble than it's worth to me.

Several years ago we had a Sheraton in town and they had a Friday night seafood buffet and we'd go there and she'd eat steamed crab till she darn near popped and get her craving satisfied then two or three months later we'd go again......the Sheraton left town and took the seafood buffet with it.

I heard that Remington Park 'had' a good seafood buffet at one time but I also heard that the buffet went downhill after Remington Park changed hands a few years back.

I also heard that Riverwind Casino has a buffet on Friday nights with crab on it but I also heard that they don't seem to bring out much at a time and you've got to be standing right there when it comes out of the kitchen or you'll miss out.

Within a fifty mile radius of Norman where is a good place to take the wife so she can get her fill of steamed crab ?

Most of the buffets use crappy little snow crab legs which DO take you forever to get much meat out of. Some of the larger ones, it is worth it, and king crab certainly is much better.

I love me some crab, but it's gotta be WORTH it, not picking slivers out. Let me know if there is a GOOD crab buffet in the Tulsa area somewhere, too.

My last wife got her crab fix on at either The Fish Shack in Coweta, White River in BA or Red Lobster- not buffets tho but I think one or more of them did an all you can eat crab on certain nights if I remember.

It's..NOT....REPEAT...NOT in Oklahoma!!!

Wife and I love blue crab and the best is along the Texas...really...all along the Gulf Coast. Love soft shell when it's in season.

Galveston...Gaido's or Willie G. Out of the office in the middle of no-where Oklahoma or I'd post some pictures.

If you want...okay crab legs...Remington Race Track on Thursdays has all the crab legs and steak you can eat. Make sure the crab legs are a little warm....but they're NOTHING like Gulf blue crabs!!!

I spent many years on the coast watching locals use a fork to tap on blues to get the meat out, all I got was bloody fingers.
