I finally saw some light rutting activity this morning. Had some little guys cruising and blowing right by the feeders, then about 10:00, had a mature 9 or 10 pt that I had never seen before do the same thing. He was oblivious to anything around him. He got within 40 yds but was in brush, then crossed the creek and went up the bank about 55-60 yds out from me. No shot. Oh well...good to see the activity.

It’s full blown at my eastern Oklahoma place. Lots of daylight activity on camera. Finally in the stand. My big 10 is doed up this morning at 6am and 10am. Hopefully they show again this evening! [emoji1694][emoji120]

Got in the stand at 3:00. At 3:30 heard leaves crunching behind me.
One of my target bucks stepped into the clearing but was at a bad angle and had some limbs in the way. After about 5 minutes he kept staring at something to my left but I was afraid to look. He stiffened up and moved that direction getting clear of the limbs so took the shot.
He fell down, got up and ran into the milo field. Lost sight of him but had a general idea of where he might be.

Gave him 30 minutes and started looking for blood. Found one blood sign and that was it.

Then found my arrow. Good dark red blood.

Walked into the field looking for blood finding none. Walked towards the last place I’d seen him and walked up within 5’ before seeing him.
