I can just hear it now. The person on the other end doesn't know he/she/it, is on speaker.... " So anyway, there I am with a gerbil stuck up my....."
I was in a store check out line with a lady in front of me shouting into her phone to what I presumed was her husband not paying attention she could have been unloading her cart. I just walked over close and loudly said {some words louder than others.} "Sweetie, how about rolling over here and let me take care of unloading this for you before you have to leave to go home while you are talking." I heard loud noises from her phone and she hung up. She was not very friendly to me afterward. Hell, I was just trying to be helpful to get her on her way, ya know?.
I see quite a bit of this with folks driving and talking on the phone. Not that it makes any difference in the manner that they are distracted, but at least an officer of the law won't see the person holding their phone to their ear.
Unreal what you see(and hear) in airports.
I found myself a nice spot away from the crowd waiting on a connecting flight at a gate one night to finish some work on my laptop. A really important guy that was wondering around having a loud conversation with someone while wearing his airpods decided to wander over and stand within a couple of feet of me. Pacing and talking and generally interrupting what little peace I was able to find. I tolerated it for about 5 minutes(4.5 minutes too long) and finally stood up and reset his perspective. Dude was actually shocked, didn't realize how obnoxious he was, and apologized.
My favorite are the folks that are so engrossed in something vitally important on their device that they have to try to walk at the same time. I'm the guy that will not move out of their way. I won't purposely wander into their path, but I will hold my course...
IMO, most people are actually talking on the phone, and driving, driving is the secondary activity for them...

Holy crap I had no idea these could be bought that much cheaper than all the rest. I was scheduled for a hearing test to get aids just last week and I canceled it cause I just couldnt see paying $3k-$6k. Are these really as good and last as long etc? I guess that doesnt really matter, if they only last 2 years instead of 3 at 1/5 the price, its still a no brainer eh?
