Well, perhaps you should have read ALL the comments. Consensus seems to be that he was carrying a rifle in a place that serves alcohol, which is a crime, according to the way the statutes are written. Thus, if true, he WAS doing something wrong.

seems like it's been established that there is a good chance he was doing something wrong (at least in terms of how the law is written). And, historically speaking, it is pretty well established that states have the ability to limit (or open) certain areas when it comes to firearms. Plus, it's not really a matter of whether you like people who carry rifles openly, but WHERE he was carrying it (i.e. a place prohibited by law)

The 3 strikes your out law Passes by Reagan I believe has caused so much wrong.in the Justice system. It's no longer about public safety, its about locking people up that we are simply mad at who are not any threat to society....for profit.
A debtors prison system and, the biggest one in the world right here in the good ol USA.
private prisons are big business. Big business means money for lobbyists. Lobbyists appeal to the politicians who know that no one lost for being 'tough on crime'. More laws, more crimes, more criminals, more profits.
