It may be ugly but I like it. I always thought by now our vehicles would be something out of a movie like total recall. But they aren’t. I hope this causes a big change in design. I want some futuristic stuff dang it!! That Rivian truck looks great. I wouldn’t mind having it.

Maybe in a decade or two there will be a charging station every mile or so which would make a world of difference. Some enterprising individual will likely tackle that opportunity when and if there is enough demand.

All that said, I do like the design. Stretch it a couple feet, enclose it, and install a 350 CID gasoline engine, and I'd be real interested.

Have a gander at the supercharger network map, they cover the vast majority of the US on nearly all major highways and you're never really that far from one on a typical highway-based trip. V3 supercharger's are the next ultra-high power delivery chargers doing 250kW.

I'm with you on an enclosed body, that would be a sweet rig looking like an excursion or expedition

Of all the places you would never guess a Tesla charging station would be, there's a 6 or 8 fast charger array off I-35 at Perry, OK... shocking everytime I see it.
Those things are popping up all over Tulsa. There is one within half a mile of my house in South Tulsa and I can see one from the office in Downtown Tulsa.

I see that Elon Muck is a Blade Runner fan.

While the idea of one day buying an EV is intriguing, until the recharging infrastructure is somewhat comparable to gasoline, I won't be pulling the trigger. Even if there were enough charging stations to make the purchase viable, this 'truck' is too damn ugly! Its our 2020 version of the Pontiac Aztec.

I can get right at 700 miles in my 99 suburban (42 gal. tank) with 'conservative' long distance highway driving. At $2.10 a gallon, that comes to about $88.00 for those 700 miles(About 12.6 cents per mile. The Tahoe does slightly better but only holds 30 gallons.). What does it cost to go an equivalent distance with something like Tesla's pickup?
