The belted H&H case is the "parent." Most American belted cartridges are cut-down, blown-out derivatives of the basic H&H magnum; i.e., .338 Winchester, .264 Winchester, .300 Winchester, 7mm Weatherby, .300 Weatherby, etc.

Yes all belted cases derived from the .375HH, but they started with an already shortened 7mm mag when developing the 350RM. Consider the .375HH a grandparent cartridge lol.
