Crime rates increase?

Saw this article citing a significant increases in violent crime, burglary, and auto theft.

I'd guess it's a bit early to attribute it to early release but certainly these is some history that suggests criminals are aggressively exploiting the 1K threshold in CA, and other locales where it's been enacted.

Did we make a mistake in the effort to be "reasonable"? Any thoughts or insights?

Our crime rates in OK peaked in 95-96 and the crime rates are still nowhere near those levels. This was written by someone who had shares in one of the for-profit prison systems.

If you are going to put up statistics I want to see the study!! Sorry but all "news" to me any more cannot pass the BS test. The propaganda being put out is getting tiresome and these news outlets need to start posting the evidence they are looking at to prove what they are spewing or I pay little to no attention!!

Naw, it's because of constitutional open carry. Anybody can carry any kinda gun, even assault weapons and fully semi-automatic ones anywhere now. Blood in the streets!
