Jared how'd that ol boy walk 10 miles and not hit a road?

He was in the most remote area in the county. I did state he probably walked 10 miles but naturally the news emphasized that like I knew that is how far he walked. As a crow flys it was about 1.5 miles but thru some extreme terrain.

Knowing he didnt walk a straight line we know the miles on the ground he covered was much more than the actual distance. I said 10 in a manner to express it was much greater than 1.5. We’ll never know how far but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was close to 10.

Packed an elk out in CO one time that was 3/4 mi from camp. But almost 4mi of actual walking one way.

Yeah I can easily see doing 10 ground miles in rough terrain just avoiding obstacles. I initially took the article to mean he was found 10 miles A to B.

Bet he totes a backpack from now on. Lucky guy. I wouldn't have been embarrassed - at least he's alive and has a good story.

Which brings up an entire new thread.
