It seems the deer movement has changed so I am trying something they wouldn't expect. Instead of sitting in one of my stands, I decided to sit on my turkey hunting stool on top of an old loafing shed. I can see everything for 400 yds to my left, sporadic breaks in the creek bottom in front of me, and 200 yds to my right. This big elm has low branches resting on the rooftop, so it makes a pretty decent blind. I don't know if this is the right move or not, but you won't know if you never try.

I did something similar. A friend bought 5 acres near i35 and charter oak to flip. I put a folding camp chair on the peak of a loafing shed. Saw 5 bucks that night. No shooters but still a good hunt.
