Man, I tell you what. The OU fans at that game were the most obnoxious a-holes I have ever come across. Popcorn was good though. F'n wind chill was a killer.

Many OU fans are. The Sooners played a great game. Too bad some of their fans are absolute jerks and can’t just appreciate good football playing.

Happens at almost all the rivalry games. People get all drunked up and think it's them own damnself's that's tough. And they forget that this is a game, played by young guys, that's supposed to be fun and entertaining.

This is why I would rather just stay home and watch it on TV.

Anecdotes are fun. I've got stories going all the way back to when they tore down the goal posts in Norman once..... funny thing is.... they did it again in Stillwater after a win and sent some to the hospital. They used to tear up campus corner quite frequently and were always looking to fight after losing. But either way, this year apparently one of our partners in our agency took his family and some Poke fans confronted him walking out of the stadium claiming he was "talking shyt." He was with his wife and teenage son.

Totally uncalled for anyone for any team. It’s a game. A lot of sh—talkers when they get a little beer in them. It’s one thing to be an avid fan, it’s another to cross the line into being a an ahole.

I'm curious gentlemen, is it the younger fans that act that way? Because I'm thinking older men like myself have better sense than that and can appreciate one of the greatest in state rivalries anywhere in this nation without acting a fool.
EDIT: Just to set the record straight. I never acted like an a-hole as a young fan either. I've always enjoyed this rivalry and have always enjoyed good natured banter on both sides. But then again I am a Baby BOOMER!

I've said countless times that it's my opinion that most of the "bad" fans never stepped foot on campus for academic reasons. Because honestly if you grew up in Oklahoma, whichever college you went to, you probably had friends that went to your respective rival. Not to mention you have so many "house divided" couples out there. Usually this allows for some respect IMO.

I’ve been to a ton of games at stadiums all over the country. Every sport. By far, the worst fan experience I’ve ever had was at Stillwater. OSU actually won that game 48-28, I think and it wasn’t as close as the score. Me and my buddy were college kids and some grown man, probably 50’s, sitting in front of us was the biggest A-hole I’ve ever been around. Several times I asked him to turn around and enjoy his team winning. He was too concerned about talking smack to us. We never said one word to anyone. We were the young “punks” and he was the older “gentleman”. I know this is just one story, but it made me never want to go to an OSU game again.

Obnoxious OU fans huh? Anyone go back and read some of the OSU fans talking all kinds of shite on this board just a few weeks ago? Oh, and early in the season when OU's kicker got in trouble and they confidently predicted (wrongly) how it would be swept under the rug? Uh huh...

And how about last year after the playoff?

And last year before Bedlam?

And on and on and on...

Yeah, I am sure it is just the OU fans... lol.

On another note, when Alabama came to play here several years back in like 1999-2000 or around there anyway, they brought over 300 RV’s parked at the Lloyd Noble parking lot and probably the best group of fans I’ve ever seen. They were wearing their ‘Bama T-shirts and hats, and talking a little trash, but it was always with a smile and in a good natured way it seems.
