I just enclose a copy of my drivers Lic. and ship to the FFL,... After I check the ATF web on dealer to insure the FFL is the same, not altered..

....most FFL's are lazy and do not want to go by the ATF reg's...thinking they are demi-gods and that they...are the only ones allowed to ship firearms.

My daughters husband, an attorney and ATF agent in Chicago area,... went with me to a gun shop that insisted !...it was the law that "people"...cannot ship guns thru the mail. After a short talk, he now accepts firearms from private parties.

Find another FFL dealer,....by the way mine out here charges only $10 for transfers. That $ 2.50 for the call is another hoax.

UPS and Fedex will both ship rifles. When I sold some I sent them exclusively UPS and did not have an issue. The last time I shipped a rifle USPS the lady working the counter was anti-gun and made me declare I was shipping a rifle and gave me a whole lot of flack over it. When the rifle arrived to the buyer the stock was busted in half at the wrist. I cant prove it but I think that anti-gun lady working the counter broke it deliberately.

You do not have to tell them it is a gun....or talk to the postmaster, ask to see the regs...on guns...only if on the list of non-mailable items,..gas, batteries, etc....nothing on guns...Your not lying to Congress. ...or the FBI

Do like Lee Harvey Oswald .....Tell'em they are ...."curtain rods"......

True for rifles and shotguns. Handguns may not be sent USPS.
