I'm looking for a decent Kydek holster for a LCPII that will offer adequate retention but also doesn't break the bank. I've never ventured into Kydex and honestly have no idea what to look for. Any advice or suggestions are welcome.

Just to get you started go over Vedder holsters. Running a 20% off right now. I've got the AIWB from them and it's good to throw on fast and head to the store. Honestly I'm more of a leather guy.
And really Crossbreed supertuck shorty/mini is alright. They have a seconds site too.
I'm sure someone that has used more kydex than I have will be along shortly. At least that'll give you something to look at til they chime in.

I’m in the market as well.

Going back and forth between Vedder and Neptune Concealment. Like things about both. Leaning towards the Neptune.

I’ve also had some people say Concealment Express for a cheaper option.

Looking at LH IWB most likely. I usually carry it behind the back at about 4-5 o'clock.
Let me see if I have this straight. You're left handed but you carry behind your right hip? Do you reach all they way across your back to draw?

Vedder. Because they are well made, priced fairly, have a very strong clip, tuckable, and adjustable. Plus, they ship fast. If you want something that's a solid piece but don't care about the adjustability, then PJ Holsters Reinforced Clip IWB is a great choice as well. Ignore the real cheap ones; you want one that will work and hold your gun securely with a strong means of attachment.
