Messaged this person a while back about a gun on armslist (not this one) and never got a reply. Moved on and forgot about it untill last night. At 1am I got what I can only assume was a drunk unsolicited text. At 6 when I woke up I replied the following after removing the curse words. Granted I don't have a baby that woke up, I figured a slight shaming and guilt trip were in order.

I suggest you don't message complete strangers on Armslist and expect any better than what happened this time.

My take...At least he got back to you. :) You apparently contacted him with some interest in his wares before. Did you give a specific window of time for him to get back to you?

Much worse things have happened on Armslist deals.

Yep, I hate Armslist. I arranged the sell of a Mosin a couple of weeks ago and we agreed to meet in the middle. Complete no-show and ghost from the time we were going to meet on. The guy was from Shawnee (405) 788-78xx

Unless it's an established OSA member or someone I know, I'll NEVER drive more than across town again.

I have purchased a few off Armslist. I make certain to call and talk to a human prior to setting up a meet. No conversation, no meeting. No human, no meeting.
I use the time on the phone to get a feel for the person on the other end. If I get a bad vibe, I'm out.

When texting, I include a time frame to contact me, usually 7am-7pm.

All that being said, I need to get a burner number. They are fairly inexpensive.

This is exactly what I do. You can tell a lot about someone just from a one on one phone call. I've had pretty good luck selling and buying on armslist also, even though the last guy I bought a Sig P320C from had an oriental accent so bad it was a struggle.

I can't stand people that put stuff up and don't respond for days. I tried a couple times to buy from some clown in Skiatook. Finally said screw it. I will keep my money.
