I turned left at a large, busy intersection. I was in the intersection during the green cycle, when it turned red and the intersection cleared, I turned. The cross traffic had to wait for me to clear the intersection before moving.
There was that cop setting there, he came forward and made a point of having to stop and wait for me (I was in a 10-wheeler, loaded, and slow). I knew he would stop me. He did.

He tried to tell me I ran the light. I protested that I was in the intersection legally, and had to proceed through.

He bowed up, asked if I was arguing with him.

I said no sir, but if you write me a ticket, I'll beat it. He cocked an eyebrow, and I motioned to my dashcam.

He took my paperwork, and wrote a warning.

I did the same thing accidentally playing vehicle roulette. I parked my truck tires 6 inches into the grass for one night and got a ticket. PMTFO! It wasn't the cops it was the city enforcer with the circle flies flying around his head.

Yep, that's him.

He kept saying ,"I had to WAIT for you to go through the intersection! My light was green, and I had to WAIT for you!

I said. Well, I can't just park in the intersection, I have to clear it.

As soon as he walked up I knew he was going to write a ticket. If I hadn't had a dashcam, I definitely would have gotten a ticket. He just deflated when I showed him the cam.

In Tulsa they can and will ticket you for going thru a YELLOW Light. Biggest bunch of Crap that is purely a Revenue Grabber.
I'm not talking about the light turning red when entering the intersection.

Traffic signals need to be modernized so that the green light flashes for x amount of times before the light goes yellow so the driver can adjust driving speed to either stop or pass thru the intersection. Oh, that would cost money and the yellow light ordinance makes money.

Was in Quebec, Canada last month and that's the way their traffic lights worked. Pretty slick!

Up here around Colorado Springs, they put up signs about 1/4 mile from the intersection that cautions that if the light on it is blinking, the traffic light is about to change. It stays blinking until the light turns green again. Works pretty good. If one is doing the speed limit and it starts just as one reaches the sign, one has time to make it through the light.

Well, I researched it, as I knew it was 5 watts back then, and I found out I was right.... and wrong. It was 5 watts input to the final amplifier stage, which is equal to 4 watts at the coax connection. I honestly never measured my radio but had it peaked and tuned by a guy in Moore than ran a shop off of Main St. I think his name was Mike, but not 100% on it. However, I knew my radio was legal. The modulation was peaked out and I ran a Cobra mod mike which added 10 dB more modulation. The radio was nothing special, just a Realistic TRC-421A 40 channel. But from Moore I could talk to Yukon and south side of Norman when I had my 103" steel whip.

We played it about the same, except we gave a clue right off the bat. We also had to key up at least once every 2-3 minutes. Our rules were simple: No residential areas (including apartments, not that there were many apartments back then), no damaging private property including littering, and no arguing if someone asked you to leave. We had a lot of fun with it though. And woe to the person that was caught breaking any of those rules.

Yep, they do that all over Colorado. Pretty handy so you know when to start braking with that monster RV behind you pushing the rig down hill. Saved my bacon more than once.
