Whether you believe we are seeing the beginning of the end of the war on guns, or the end of the beginning of same, there is no doubt that the majority of children in school are "learning" in an anti-gun atmosphere these days. Many of us on here are able to remember rifle racks in the back of pickups with rifles in them, and glass gun cabinets in people's front rooms, full of guns. Those days are gone. The writing is on the wall, whether you wish to read it is up to you.

You might be surprised just how center the average teacher is. I look up ALL of the teachers my three kiddos have every year in the online voter registration records so I can kind of know what to expect. A little more than half in Sand Springs "so far" are registered Republicans. This is of course a very narrow sample.

They may register and vote Republican, but if they even think of teaching the 2A and the Constitution they may not have their jobs very long in some school systems.
Small schools seem to be more tolerant than others in the bigger cities.
Example: I know a teacher in a rural school. Had to meet with him one day. Driving up to the school, he was teaching his class how to set a leg hold trap outside of the school building. Life skills in that area. They thought nothing of it. Put that same class on to inner city kids, and they would freak out, parents called, and the teacher likely dismissed.

I'm sure you are correct.

Why would dimocrats have guns? They want to take them from us because they are bad and scare people.

Don’t you know comrade, the proliteriate must be armed in order for the revolution to take place!

Groups like the John Brown gun club and the socialist gun club (of which the Dayton shooter was a member) exist in larger numbers than you think.

They don’t want all guns gone-just yours.
They can’t exterminate 25 million of us (as Bill Ayers spoke of) without them.

Copied this from another gun site

I have to say, I'm a bit shocked hearing about this, but not surprised. My daughter called me yesterday and said for her philosophy class, they are being required to write a 5 page essay on why guns are bad and that only police and military should be allowed to have them. She also mentioned they needed to discuss how the 2nd amendment is outdated and needs to be outright removed from the constitution or significantly changed. My daughter, while not fond of guns does understand a civilians right to have them and believes in the 2nd amendment. I think that in the coming years (maybe 15-20) that this country will be disarmed and plunged into socialism once this young generation gets into political power. You can all laugh and think it's not going to happen, but just look at what these kids believe in and what they want to accomplish. We gun owners are severely outnumbered by the anti-gunners and this young generation who are determined to change it.

I'm not looking to start a war of words, but this is what is being taught to our young people... so sad.

The indoctrination started in public school years ago, I believe unless the "revolution" starts soon the left only needs to wait it out . As you stated in the future the majority will believe guns are bad and they will be confiscated with out a fight. The left has been biding their time while slowly changing the mind set of the youth to believe in the tenets of socialism

The child in class can be brainwashed by experts, from global warming, anti-gun, anti-Christian to islam being good. That is what is sad and it causes discord, anger and rebelling against parents. I'm not sure but didn't Hitler's Germany do something similar?
