All I’ve heard so far is it was a Saudi National who was training at the air station. Imagine that; a Muslim in the US shooting Americans. I understand it is being looked at and could possibly be terrorist related. Big surprise. These people hate us and I bet he just did what he was supposed to do.

My twin brother works at NAS Pensacola. Woke me at 0730 to tell me he was OK. He was telling me the suspect was a Saudi that was going thru flight training. Supposedly the Saudi killed 3 people and the police killed him. From what he told me 1 officer was shot in the arm and 1 in the leg. This is all second hand info though.

Much more likely to be killed by an American.....of course. No knee jerk reaction here....just stating the info I was told. The fact that a Saudi did this on an American base is the whole point. Very strange.

Not really strange when you realize we’ve been training Saudi troops on our bases for many decades, and the incidents of violence over all those decades and thousands of troops hardly stack up to a weekend police blotter at Fort Bragg.

The latest incident sucks for sure but it’s hardly a trend...and shaping up to be caused by a guy being flunked out of class for cheating and being sent home in disgrace.
