The facts are he was a Saudi. The facts are the other day was an American. Why can’t facts just be facts. SMS, you sure quick to jump to conclusions just because someone was stating a fact. Weren’t those guys that went to flight training and ran airliners in the World Trade Center Saudi’s as well? I’m sure plenty of them come here to train legitimately. I hope enough come to train so they don’t need Americans in Saudi Arabia to do their jobs for them.

I get it. I just think it’s funny that we have a shooting at a military base by a member of the American military and the reaction is basically “what a tragedy” and variations of that theme.
A few days later a member of the Saudi military perpetrates a similar incident and the reaction is basically “F-ing terrorists” and variations of that theme....with zero information beyond the nationality of the perp.

When I was in the Air Force we had Saudi student pilots. Some disappeared and were declared AWOL and never found. Some came to the clinic and just wanted the day off and to be grounded. One was found in the latrine holding his thermometer under the faucet with hot water running on the thermometer hoping to be diagnosed with the flu and be grounded. They were a devious lot and we didn't trust them then. I view them with suspicion even now, it's in my training. Their culture somehow doesn't mesh with ours.

They are one of the richest countries in the world. WTF are they doing coming for training here in the US? They have the money and finances to hire the greatest fighter pilots on earth to come to Saudi and train them in country. AKA in the 70's and 80' when US service men and women went to Saudi to train and build infrastructure for them while making fortunes in the process.
Don't bore me with a comeback of we train lots of military from all over the world. I participated in some of that because their country's didn't have the knowledge or money to train, but that doesn't deter from my statement about Saudi Arabia having plenty of money to do it there.
