Nice. Put this in the kids thread. Whats that ranch in?
Oh yea I forgot about the kids thread, I'll add it in there. The Ranch is 7.62x39.
Izzat the camera or izz them hog's tuskseseseses deformed?
It's a piece of that old log that the gun is leaning on, I shoulda looked for something else that wasn't the same color as the tusks.

I actually re-zeroed my gun with federal fusion 120gr ammo to try. Entrance under the skin and exit were both about the size of a golf ball
A lot of people like heavier bullets for 6.5 calibers, but I’ve killed A BUNCH of stuff very efficiently and got great accuracy with handloaded 120 gr Corelokt bullets for my 6.5x55.

I have a 6.5 creedmoor that I got for my son for his first deer gun. Plan on loading some 120’s in it and it should be a killer. I have a while to find a good load, he’s 2.5 years old!! Man I’m ready to get him in the deer woods! I actually already got him a Mccroskey elk knife to give to him when he’s old enough

Every time I bring something new home I use the exact same excuse.

Saw 10 doe last night and only a little spike buck. This morning, I sat 1/2 mile north of that spot and saw 7 doe and no buck whatsoever. I went through roughly 1,200 pictures taken since Thanksgiving and not a single shooter buck in any of them.

So since the bucks aren't where they normally are, tonight, neither am I. I am sitting atop a long abandoned tank battery overlooking a fallow field and two hay pastures. The neighbors across the road gave wheat pasture so am hoping to catch something heading their way for some grub.

Well, my plan kinda worked. I saw 12 doe in two different groups heading to the wheat fields just before dark. I kept trying to make horns materialize on one of them, or find a buck trailing them, but no such luck. Never saw a buck all evening.
