The S&B 140gr FMJ is good range ammo for plinking. It's usually available for 50-60 cents a round and can be found with free shipping at times depending on site. The Winchester 125gr OTMs seem to work half way decent for 60-70 a round.
The Hornady Black/American Gunner are also great if you can track down good pricing.
