I kinda like it. 500+ mile range on the tri-motor model....that’ll set you back over $60k but comparably equipped gas burners aren’t gettting any cheaper lol. Combining this with a small wind or solar setup would be sweet.
Until you need all new batteries ....or they catch fire :)

Here, but occasionally There.
Looks like the Tesla electric could be classified in the same category as a 3/4-ton or 1-ton truck. The article states that if one "elects" to have the model with the best distance range on a charge, it must come with the heavier battery.

Tesla Cybertruck a Medium Duty Classification

I didn't think that it would really be in the F150/1500/1/2-ton category, largely because of its size in comparison with that F150 they were testing it against.

From the story linked above:

"Tesla said the Cybertruck will be able to carry up to 3,500 pounds and tow over 14,000 pounds. Considering that the smaller Tesla Model X SUV weighs over 5,100 pounds, even the same empty weight with that sort of payload rating would push it into Class 2b. However, when equipped with the large battery pack that will be required to provide the 500 miles of range projected in the top of the line Tri Motor Cybertruck, a weight above 6,500 pounds is not out of the question, and common in medium-duty trucks with similar capabilities."

That's the price they are showing here for the 1,000 hp version. Not that I was ever actually in the game, but I'm DEFINITELY out of the game on this thing now. Holy SHITE people.

After being a GM fanboy for years, there's NO way I'd buy a 112K electric SUV from them. I can't imagine the chyt that would fall off of it in two years.
