Wifey just told me it came out today from a whistleblower at Time that only the Time editor in chief picks this person. There is no board of editors deciding. Finding this anywhere on the internet is impossible.

FWIW Stalin has been picked....... twice.

So obviously everyone knows they are trying to pick the individual that had the greatest impact on the news. Well that would be Trump, no two ways about it. They've already picked him once.....

Have a look at the "runners up" every year since 2016. Don't want to piss off their base.

Regardless of age these Environmentalists are wack jobs that are clueless.
Just say that we could wave a magic wand and tomorrow ALL vehicles on the highways became electric that would become a disaster.
We do not have enough Power Plants or Grid capability to provide power for charging this many vehicles at once.
Some parts of the country already experience rolling blackouts due to an overloaded Power Grid.

Now, diesel-electric on the other hand makes sense to reduce the the amount of carbon emissions. Scaled down version of the trains in cars and trucks.
Unfortunately can't get something for nothing in physics so unless we go back to horses and covered wagons we have to deal with results of using petroleum products for power production in vehicles.

About the only thing I consider relevant from Sweden is Volvo and ABBA.

There. I said it. You're welcome!
