Can I borrow $40?

Hit up Chenry, he is the one retiring with all the money. :P I had to buy a $15 projector from Walmart.

What ever you do, do not buy one of those green dot with the occasional red dot projectors. Makes your house look like it has some weird measles.

They covered them turning on the lights on the channel 6 news. I thought they said they started working on getting the lights set up in July or August, but that was a few days ago, so I could be mistaken.

FWIW, I'm seeing lots of lights in the Tulsa area.
Your probably right on the date they started this year. I was going from memory of years past when they did start in October. They added almost a half million lights this year, so an earlier start would be a requirement.

You are right rick. There ain’t near as many as when I was a kid even. And I’m not that old. I always decorate for the holidays. I love it. I put my lights and everything up after Halloween and I turn them on. Of course, this is coming from a guy that puts his Halloween decorations out after the 4th of July!!! Lol. I know some of my neighbors laugh and such but I don’t care. Halloween is my favorite and it goes by so quick I want to enjoy it as long as I can.

There is a huge display on Kelly between 33rd and 15th street in Edmond. It is on the east side. Park IB the business next to it and walk through. Pretty impressive.

Come to think of it, between Hollis, Lawton, Ponca, Ft Worth, Houston, Corpus, Denver, OKC, and Billings, it was always the retired people doing all the best displays... Probably because they had nothing else to do. You old dudes are lacking lol

We never had outside lights. just a tree in the house and was always unplugged at night. But then we only had a propane heater that was like a rotisserie. You had to turn to keep from being cooked on one side. Some of those folks probably are glad they don't have to look at the lights every night.

That is the one the wife and I went to. Just sat in the parking lot eating our dinner and watching the lights and all the excited children.

One thing for parents and grandparents, do not let your kids touch the light displays. They might mess something up that took many man hours to make, or at worst get shocked if a wire has been rubbed bare.
