Competition in the market place is always good for the consumer. Coffee or not.
There's competition, just not between 7-11 and QT (nor, apparently, between QT and Love's). There are plenty of Kum-n-Gos, and there's a new competitor moving in, Casey's. I saw quite a few of those in Texas, but can't say I ever stopped at one, although I have been told that their tea isn't as good as QT's.

They are building at least one "Casey's" in the OKC area. I want to think out towards Yukon or Mustang, but don't quote me on it. We also saw some of them in Indiana when we worked up there. There weren't a lot of them, which is too bad, as they were a good choice for a bathroom stop when we were doing that work.

Casey's is ok, that's about it. We have 3 or 4 of them in Bartlesville now. I'm not overly impressed, they're ok. They have subs and pizza. My mom worked for them for a little while and from what she told me they're a typical corporate enterprise that shits on their employees and their management is a joke. For instance, working people full-time hours and not making them full-time status so they don't have to pay benefits.

Then again, the local hospital run by 'non-profit' Ascension Health does exactly the same thing - so basically, ignore the law if you are a corporate overlord, as you know ain't no one gonna do anything about it.

Yeah, QT has competition in the Tulsa metro, though they are still the gold standard from both the consumer and employee side. Kum'N'Go has stepped up their game with their newest stores and thankfully abandoned their partnership with SubWay. Their burgers are not bad. Caseys is just below KNG as far as quality, but hey they have clean bathrooms, a decent hamburger (though I like their pizza better than QT's) and flavored teas with real sugar I can drink. When working I don't eat at fast food places as I prefer to eat in my truck (get tired of my meals getting interrupted by people asking questions, mainly how they can force cox to lower their bill). I usually get a slice of pizza, a couple of hotdogs or some eggrolls from QT, a couple of bottles of their Mango or Raspberry tea and head back to my van to eat and read. KNG and Caseys offer a variation to that routine.
