Another review with an ammo data chart.

Looks like the Speer Gold Dot 40gr is at 1790 fps and 285 ft.lbs. at this point in it's development. Maybe they can get a little more out of it, maybe not.

That's only about 75% of the energy that the Federal HST 124gr + P load that I use for self defense has but pretty impressive for a 40gr 22 caliber out of a pistol.

Since Ruger seems willing to try new things these days I have to wonder if this pistol could run 7.62x25, .22 TCM or .22 Reed Express.

In full auto I can see it’s use but for civilians I don’t see how something with less energy than a 380 will ever take off as a viable defensive option.
