I am back to having the PSA test done yearly...It is an easy add-on to regular blood tests.

My physician brother convinced me it was worth the risk of false positives...contrary to prevailing advice that general practitioners are giving.
No digital exams being done...don't let dislike for that keep you from doing the PSA. A PSA is especially recommended, if anyone in the family has a history of prostate cancer.

I had a Doc that was "just watching" mine, wasn't super high, but it was too high.

I decided I wanted a Doc that was not passive in his treatment philosophy. Changed Docs and my first Physical turned up the high PSA.

Biopsy showed stage 3 Prostate Cancer at 56 years old. I opted to have it surgically removed. Three years later life is good, my PSA is now 0.

I've mentioned this before, if you are faced with a positive biopsy and you want to talk to someone, let me know.

Meds for that. Some which even help with the ummmm.... performance. Might think about it...
Was on Flomax. Is that what you're talking about? Can't remember why I'm off of it but doc took me off for some reason. Anyway the same symptoms are back.

Nope, Cialis is a 'performance' drug that is also indicated for BPH. And it's gone generic this year, so it's cheap now. It's a daily pill that helps you be 'more' ready all the time if you need to - not having to pick and choose your times, like the little blue pill.

Hmmm, any side effects of not having the prostate like impotence?
