Dumped Direct TV last March and picked up Sling, at the end of this month I'm dropping it for Youtube. Streaming is the only way to go.

Just bumping this one to see if anyone else is using Youtube TV and if those who are are still pleased with it.

We are doing the two week free trial to see if it fits the bill for cutting the cord...We'll have to keep Cox for internet but would still save a bunch, even if we upped our internet plan.

I had it for a few months, but just cancelled it a couple weeks ago. It was just ok. When I started it was $44/month. Also had to upgrade internet to be able to stream live tv without buffering. Just canceled after they raised it to $65/month. Plus, realizing more everyday that there is not much worth watching on tv anymore anyway. Especially since sports have gotten unwatchable. Haven’t missed it yet. If I ever feel a need to get live tv again, I would do YouTube tv over dish or direct.

I still have youtube, still like it better than the others. I mostly just record the Discovery stuff (deadliest catch and such) and the wife and kid like the Dr. Pol and other vet shows.

YTTV user.
Not happy with the price increase to 65$ but I’m happier with it than I was with Cox Cable TV.
Multiple user profiles mean I can DVR my shows and she can DVR hers. Set mom up a profile and she uses it at her place.
Plus it goes where I go with the app on my phone.
Works out well for me.

I signed up for earlier this year. Out of Sling, ATT TV (aka DirecTV Now), and now YouTube, Youtube has been best quality of streaming on my Roku devices and desktops and phones/tablets. It was cheaper than the ATT TV plan (that was originally $30, ha! then went up to 60 oor 65) which is why I switched but now it's right in line with the others when you get similar channel packages.

I use it for the sports mostly, but it also has a ton of on demand to the point where I could likely cancel netflix and hulu if my wife didn't complain.

I prefer streaming since I don't have to mess with in-home wiring and renting boxes through Cox; I have one cable into the house directly to the modem feeding the mesh router setup and that's it. Strong signal, no fussing around with "the problem is in your home" line they give you when you have splitters and/or other wiring throughout the house.

I have the 500 mbps plan through Cox since ATT doesn't have fiber on my block yet. Works well. And 500 because I get a work from home internet stipend through my employer; it covers the 500 but not the cost of the gigabit.

If you have a good enough Internet connection to stream, take a look at HULU. They have several packages including HULU Live, which is like a cable tv package.

I'm cheap. Sling Blue has all the channels I care for (Fox News, Fox Sports and NBC Sports) and it's only $30/month, guaranteed for the next year. In addition to that, with an AirTV, you can integrate local channels into the Sling guide and tune them from there. They just came out with a DVR model--four tuners and a 1TB drive with 150 hours of storage for $199.99. It will feed up to four TVs or three TVs and a streaming device (if none of the tuners are tied up in recording something or if you don't mind watching that channel live.) I don't have the AirTV DVR yet (it was just announced) but I plan to get it. I'll keep my antennas connected to my TVs for severe weather coverage.
