I replaced a 8’ high output fluorescent light with a LED today.

I found one at Home Depot that was two 4s’ assembly’s that would allow them to be mounted parallel or in random. 11000 Lumen (2 x 5500).
The existing lamps were 4100-4500 lumen.

I’m very happy with it/them. So much so, I’m going to go pick up 3 more to swap out this weekend.

That looks like it might make a good under cabinet light in my kitchen - which is way to dark for these old eyes.
What do you think?

I would want something thinner for an under cabinet instal. This one is almost 3” from the base to the bezel. And for me, it would be too bright for that use. Although it is capable of being dimmed.

I installed a set of these in my kitchen and they are just about the best thing since sliced bread. Plus, with the motion sensor on them, you get to look like a low level Jedi when you turn them on. [emoji38]

Bright White is great for the shop. Sucks in the house though.

Depends on what one is doing in the house. When we were in Idaho once, we set up a room for the cousin's wife to use for sewing and machine embroidery. Matching colors correctly for that depends on pretty accurate color temperatures of one's lights. We put in LED's for her, which I think were the same as Mad Professor's. 4000 is his color temp and that is just below natural daylight, which is at 4800.
