This is the ancient one talking, but a small spudder will drill a 100' well in bottomland in a day, incl pea gravel, running galvanized casing and setting the pump. Me and Grandpa! Greatest job I ever had.
I knew a woman years ago, lived in Pauls Valley across from the RR Station.
Her husband drilled her well in the backyard, back in the 60s. 2" pipe with a sand bit, hand pounded down 18'.
She was still getting water from it in the late 1980s, when I met her.

That sounds akin to how they do it in the Sandhills of Nebraska. Drive a pipe with holes in it down until water comes out! Wish it would be so easy for me.

Here's one on Ebay but I don't know... There are many other water well drilling rigs but this one is a classic!

@Cowcatcher if that sells for $7200 bucks I think we need to go into business selling drilling rigs.
Shovel repairing and water drilling kinda go hand n hand.
