After the 09 blizzard drifted 3 feet deep snow across my whole driveway. I said never again. I bought this soon after. It has never been used. 2 stage Ariens snow blower. Best money I ever spent. 10 years and no snow to mess with.

Sounds like me, I sold a really nice classic 71 Chevy pickup and bought a 4x4 pickup so we could get out should it happen again. Haven't really needed the 4x4 since but glad I have it just in case.

4WD is like a gun better to have it and not need it than not have it and need it

Here, but occasionally There.
4WD can be either a blessing or a curse. One can manage to get their 4WD stuck where a tow truck can't reach it...one can end up in the ditch faster with 4WD than 2WD if they don't know where their front wheels are pointed...it seems that when the first ice storm comes, the first vehicle seen in the ditch is 4WD.

Wife and I bought a 4WD Ford Expedition when we lived in Colorado because she thought she would get a job somewhere and wanted the 4WD. She never got a job, and we never used the 4WD at all in Colorado. We did use it on ice streets in Oklahoma City and on steep gravel roadways at the retreat and reunion center we were at in Oregon. Oh, and once going to Toroweap Overlood at the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

Primarily, I like the 4WD for Oklahoma's ice storms.

Sounds like a Mike Morgan forecast. Oklahoma’s self proclaimed leading meteorologist.
Isn't he the guy that told everyone to get out and they were on I-35 and a tornado ripped though a bunch of cars? I dunno if anyone was killed or seriously injured but he kept his job. if that was him and I think it was and no one got an apology.
