Hibdons damaged one of my wifes wheels on her $65k SUV with 300 miles on it when doing a patch. Then they didn't patch properly. Got a leak in same tire, DT wouldn't fix due to the other shoddy patch. Went to Hibdons to make them fix it. Pointed out the damage the other Hibdons location did on it (minor) and asked they be careful this time. Guy said tough ****, normal wear and tear when mounting/fixing a flat. Only went there to save me from having to buy a new tire as the car only had 12k on it. Will never do business with Hibdons again (never did, don't know why she went there). This just reaffirms I made the right decision.
The hibdons in Shawnee tried to say I had a bent lower control arm on the rear of my maxima and said they could fix it for $225. I made an appointment for the next week and when I took it back the same guy (the old manager) told me it would cost $350! I said that I was told it would be $225. He said “I don’t know who told you that but they were wrong”. I said “it was you!!” He tried to act like he never said it. I got mad and said I was done with them and he tried to say he would do it for the $225. I said “no, you had your chance and you lied”. So I went to another shop and they said the control arm was NOT bent. The place is pathetic. Bridgestone owns hibdons by the way if you didn’t know. And I know they don’t give a crap about their customers. I know people can have bad experiences anywhere. Discount tire is no exception. But the couple of times I have went I was very impressed. Hopefully it stays that way.

I seem to remember after old man Hibdon watched his legacy slowly sink, he painted a big sign on the side of his shop that said something like "Hibdon Tires is corporately owned now. No affiliation with the Hibdons." Yada yada. I think it was in Midwest City maybe? Ran across it from time to time when I lived there.

I used the store in BA for a set of Falken Wildpeak 20in. Their price was 189.00 per tire. Found the same tire online at Walmart on clearance for 119.99. Clicked the “ found it lower” link on the DT website and submitted the link. 1 hour later I was asked to take this email to any local store and they would price match. Had my tires the next day and saved around 300.00.

I like the fact that DT includes lifetime balance as well as rotate. Most like hibdon are rotate only.

I’ve been a Discount Tire customer for the past 10 years. They have the lowest prices, and the price match any retailer. I haven’t ever paid for rotation and balancing. Just had my tires balanced and rotated. The technician was unable to remove one of the wheel nuts. He asked if I wanted them to cut it off. And that they would pay for the wheel stud replacement. I agreed. True enough, I took my vehicle to a local mechanic. Discount Tire covered the bill.

Very impressed with this company. They have my business, mainly because of their professionalism.

When he opened a car dealership in the OKC area, he ran TV ads that explicitly said that he had sold his tire business and no longer had any affiliation with them.

Here are some real numbers from Discount Tire and some of their competitors as examples. These quotes were from yesterday while I was trying to figure out where to buy new tires for my 2010 Mustang GT.

BFGoodrich G-Force COMP-2 A/S 255/45R18

All four mounted and balanced tax and all OTD pricing

Discount Tire Tulsa on Olympia Tulsa Hills $829.52
Cecil & Son's Sand Springs $888.08
Direct Discount Stillwater $950.00
Robertson Tire $1,012.58 and $1,104.50 if I wanted road hazard. Seriously WTH??

I don't care if some price match. They get one shot with my money and that's the first quote. I have no tolerance for games.

Discount Tire was also $10 cheaper than anyone to replace the air pressure sensor on one of my wheels that went bad.

Direct Discount Stillwater does have good pricing on things they normally stock and do good work. A full set of Hankook 245/50R20 2 HP2 for my Mazda CX-9 was $795.07 OTD. Not bad for 20" tires
