@dennishoddy I did some checking and this is unfortunate to say the least. From what I know, all the mineral rights for the entire county of Osage are owned by the BIA in trust for the Osage nation. All leasing goes through them. This link below is an environmental impact study and in it, it shows their responsibility and gives you an overview of all that. I haven't read this whole thing but I scanned parts and that's it in a nutshell. The BIA is the one to hold their lessees responsible.

If the operator hasn't complied with all their requirements I would think they'd be up in thier a$$ about it at some point. I have worked with the BIA enough to know that they move about as fast as water running uphill in most cases. You might keep politely hounding them because they might have something in the works as to making the lessee do cleanup, add containment capacity, etc. It could take a long time. Keep that in mind as hard as it may be. Keep following up and they'll likely let you know if the operator wasn't in compliance with anything and what they might be doing about it.

That link is going to take a lot of Studying!
The tank battery has been repaired, with a new containment berm, etc. It's the crude all over the ground around it that is the issue. The lack of concern by the tribe about the crude flowing down the creek and into the Arkansas also bothers me.

That link is a surefire cure for insomnia!
The BIA is the sole owner of the spill cleanup and environmental concerns with the producers I've discovered, and their work is sloppy with independent producers.
The major oil companies that have pump jacks/tank batteries do a great job cleaning up using their company policies that don't recognize Indian reservations vs land outside of it. They just clean it up. We have two tank batteries on either side of our driveway. One is a major oil company that has a great containment berm with a liner, painted tanks with good plumbing practices.
The battery on the South side of the driveway is the independent producer that was the issue. A hodgepodge of plastic pipe plumbing that should be steel, no containment berm in the past, just some gravel now pushed up into a wall with a skid steer and rusty tanks.
I'll take a pic of the two tomorrow. Already posted a pic of the independant side earlier, but I have more.

After watching ONR last night, the picture is beginning to focus.
Stitt is considering a push to legalize sports betting in OK but only if the state take is larger than current.
TX and AR are considering the same.

Great. More money for the state to fritter away.

At least it won't be my money this time.

Write your own narrative but it hasn’t been a good month for Stitt and winning lawsuits
