Anyone know how to smooth out or lighten a Marlin Model 39A trigger? I traded for one recently, and the trigger pull is not as smooth as a fellow might want. Other than that, the thing eats anything I feed it. Looking forward to squirrel and bunny season!!

You ever figure it out?

Honestly, that rifle has not been out of the safe in a couple of years. :crying: It is a great rifle and is a compliment to my grandfather's 39 that Deer Slayer has. Both of ours shoot extremely well with about anything they are fed, but since I have been shooting suppressed, I am a bit of a snob. I do need to drag that out for my 9yr son to burn up a few boxes with. I might have created a monster though, since he runs my suppressed Ruger 77/22 like a champ. I can hand him that rifle and a bulk pack and he happily slings lead at anything that looks like it needs shot downrange.
