It takes a hammer to free it. CS has a hammer procedure. If you don't do it exactly according to the procedure you will damage the gun and it won't work.

Tim in CS said they get several calls a day, the issue has been relayed to engineering, and they are working on something for the next edition.

Well the grip safety is why I'll never own one anyway but it's good to know about the problem.
