We've had Dewalt and Milwaukee in our shop. My guys burn up the dewalts, but we've had pretty good luck with the batteries. We've moved over to the Milwaukee's as we've had replace tools. My father in law has a dewalt combo, and it does pretty good for a homeowner, but he wouldn't use it for more than that. His guys in the field use Milwaukee and he said that's what he'll replace everything with.

I have been using Milwaukee M12 stuff since 05-06 and have a fair amount of money in it. I have never had a Milwaukee tool die on me still have multiple batteries over 10 years old.

Really depends what you are wanting this tool for as if you should go M12 or M18

If you're not in a hurry, wait till Father's Day at Lowes and get a good deal on a combo. Otherwise, for homeowners' purposes, most of the name brands are fine. I have a Porter Cable combo that is great.
