Moderators...not sure if this needs to be moved(Food) but thought I'd get more response in Gen.Discussion.

Hey All......

I'm not to terribly excited about the Super Bowl LVI, though I will watch a few quarters....if it's a good or close game I may watch until the end.

FOOD/SNACKS:

I'm just not sure since it's not my team...but I want the 49ers to beat the Chiefs!!

BBQ? May try the new Clark BBQ at NW Exp and Hef Parkway...

Couple of bowls of chili from either...McNellies, Cattlemen's, or McAlesters.

Mexican?? The tried and true Mole' Chicken? Buche' Tacos? Barabacoa? Menudo?

Cajun/Seafood??? Maybe Red Beans & Rice from The Shack?? I may make a batch(dozen) of Oysters Rockefeller.

Maybe some grilled shrimp/stuffed shrimp???

Jalepeno poppers???

"Snacks":

Chips and dip of some sort..........

Drinks:

I got plenty of beer, tequila and bourbon...so I'm good.

Haven't paid attention so don't know the hype of the commercials or who's the half-time show.

Throw out your routine for this game.

***Since I don't bet sports, I got $20 bucks for the 49ers to win...that's it***

I like to take a few cans of chicken, shred it up in a skillet, let a buffalo sauce reduce, ad cream cheese, a little drizzle of ranch and green onion. Always pleases with a load bearing chip. 10 minute dish start to finish.

People like my garlic monkey bread too. Just preheat over @400, take biscuits, pinch of chunks and toss into a bowl, mix in melted butter, garlic, and parsley. Dump into a bundt and bake until top layer takes dark color.

Trying a pizza dip this year too. Ground beef and sausage, cut bacon and ham. Mix with pizza sauce and cheeses. Put in lasagna dish, bake like lasagna, top with more cheese, parsley & green onion, dip breadsticks into it.

Go Chiefs.

No idea, since I don't know when it is and didn't know whom was playing until someone mentioned it a coupla days ago. I won't be watching though.

Gonna snag a prime brisket or maybe some tri-tips from Costco. Makes for easy slicing and portioning with a pile'o'meat.

I like the way you think. You drain the cans of chicken, I'm figuring?
Or a feller could just shred up some leftover cooked chicken. Hmmm....

[NO SUPER BOWL PARTY HERE, JUST THINKING AHEAD FOR A SNACK TO BRING TO A POTLUCK.]

Absolutely. I'll sear that chicken till it's white and taking that great carcinogen caramel color. Then the rest.

I used to use rotisserie chicken, but it's more time and hassle than the taste is worth.
