Got to too the range today!! Figured out really fast my scope was way too low! So I came home and put some 1.4 inch high mounts on I had that I thought I would never use.
Took it out side and wow what a difference a that made in the comfort and sight pic So I will check bore sight and have to go back to the range tomorrow dang it!!!:w000t::cool:

Gun seems to run great and groups well from what I can tell from laying down on the rifle trying to find a sight pic!! Guess maybe I should have used a little google foo on scope rings for an AR but just went with the whole lower is better thinking and ............. well here we are!!

More to come and I will get pics !!

I’m having an issue with my Grendel only feeding from one side of the mag. It’s an ASC mag so it should run ok. I may have bumped the feed lips or something dang it. Good that you had some tall rings around. I use these risers on most of mine.

I also have 2 of the ASC's and they run well. My son had some high mounts on his 30-30 so he could also use his regular sights and then just decided he wanted peeps sights only.

Get a one piece mount with a built in 20MOA from some Warne or ADM. Will give you better cheek weld and give you more elevation out of your glass. Most AR's don't have enough space to get proper eye relief with split rings without bridging the hand guard and upper rail.

I run the ADM one piece on my 20" Grendel.

I already have the 2 piece mounted and it is mounted on the upper rail, if this does not work I will get the one piece.

So I am sighted in, tall mounts made all the difference. Had a heck of a time getting in the zone today so I cut things short but so far this thing works well and runs the Honady 123 gr American gunner alright. Ordered in the loading dies so I am studying up on that subject. Also have some Hornady black SST I am going to check out , but everything I read says load my own to get this thing to shine.

So I installed a PSA coated mil-spec trigger and polished it as well as used a rope to apply pressure to wear it in some what. Using the timney trigger scale I was getting from 4.25-4.75 pulls. Added a JP enterprise 3.5T trigger spring kit and it is down to 3.5 or slightly over every pull. Feels nice , now for a trip to the range to see if it is reliable or if I need to spend more money on a better trigger.

Sure is nice reducing those heavy triggers especially if your goal is tiny groups.
Here is the one I did on my AR. Stock parts used.
https://www.okshooters.com/threads/ar-trigger-mods-with-numbers.241717/

I got mine down to 3.8 lbs ..When you get them down light with NO creep you can't hunt with gloves on your trigger finger.
Just the glove brushing against the trigger can set the thing off.
I had my 30-06 very light and shot the ground in front of a big buck as I was pulling the gun up to shoot him.. thing went off from the glove touching it. Lesson learned.
