I am not saying that there aren't 36gr bullets that have issues, possibly the Fed bullets. I was commenting on the fact his pretty much blanket statement that G44s won't run 36gr is hogwash. I ran some and have seen others state they run hps fine.

After pursuing GT some this afternoon it does look like the 10 round mag issue is common along with some other folks talking about the occasional bullet standing up. The one standing up was most concerning to me yesterday.

@Timmy59 So the one thread on the guys kaboom from AR15 has been posted all over the net. Your second link is actually the second one I have seen that has an issue. You gotta figure there is 100's if not 1000's of these in the wild already. So there is going to be some failures on a new gun.

I guess the next question. Are you willing to try aftermarket sights on second gun to see if it has same issues as first?

I put the aftermarket set on the second gun. Tested with Aguila and CCI standard velocity. The same ammo that ran fine with the same gun on stick sights yesterday.

It would not lock back on the last round on 9/10 mags. It would FTE or Stovepipe on 1-2 rounds per magazine. It still runs fine on High Velocity versions of both brands.

So the issue has been repeatable with consistency on 2 different guns.
