I did a search for "bloomberg money influencing oklahoma politics" and this came up.

https://www.nytimes.com/2018/11/30/us/politics/michael-bloomberg-democrats-donate.html

First paragraph:
A week before the Nov. 6 election, Kendra Horn, a Democratic House candidate in Oklahoma, received unexpected good news from her television consultant: Michael R. Bloomberg’s political action committee, a leading supporter of Democratic candidates, had purchased more than $400,000 in advertising on Oklahoma City television.

According to the article, he waits until the last few days before an election, then runs really slick ads; I guess this gets the people that are undecided or haven't even thought about it. Pretty smart.

That strategy also hinders an incumbent or other opponent from having the time to produce ads to counter the Bloomberg ads. Of course, in the case of the 5th district in Oklahoma, it didn't help when Russell didn't really do much campaigning, possibly because he thought he had it sewed up.

That leaves her ripe for the picking this election. All her opponent has to do is say she's bought and paid for by leftist-statist, NYC based, 10th richest oligarch in the world, Michael Bloomberg.

That will only embolden many of the voters in and around OU. Advertising didn’t get her elected, leftist snowflakes did.

East Edmond has a lot of old money. Lots of Horn signs on the east side. Mostly Russell signs on the west side
